Ingredients
- curd1.5 cup
- besan (gram flour)3 tbsp
- ginger1 tsp
- green chilli2 no.
- mustard seeds1/2 tsp
- jeera1/2 tsp
- methi seeds1/4 tsp
- cloves3 no.
- cinnamon1 no.
- dry red chilli1 no.
- curry leaves1 sprig
- ghee1 tbsp
- sugar1 tbsp
- salt1 tsp
- coriander (optional)2 tbsp
Method
- 1Whisk the curd, besan, sugar, salt and 2 cups of water into a smooth, lump-free mixture. · 4m
- 2Add grated ginger and slit green chilli and pour into a pan. · 1m
- 3Cook on medium, stirring continuously, until it comes to a boil and thickens slightly. · 6m
- 4Simmer gently for a few minutes so the raw besan cooks off. · 3m
- 5In ghee, temper mustard seeds, jeera, methi, cloves, cinnamon, dry red chilli and curry leaves. · 2m
- 6Pour the tempering into the kadhi, garnish with coriander and serve hot with rice. · 1m
